Burger Planet Teams Up with Jayne Peterson to Promote Healthier Alternatives
GARY, Ind. - Burger Planet hires Opal Whitcomb’s fitness specialist, Jayne Peterson, as the spokesperson for their new “Healthy Alternatives,” campaign.
Burger Planet has a reputation for being one of the best tasting food restaurants in the U.S. They are only bettering that reputation by adding there new healthy alternative menu items. There are now even more options provided to make everyone one in the family happy.
Some of their new options include assorted fruit sides, white meat chicken breasts, and gourmet salads. Peterson is working with the restaurant to create a new meal called the “Smiley meal,” which will include an ankle weight, fruit and the white meat entrĂ©e. They also have suggestions for shaving the calories off the classics such as the “Saturn burger” and the “Venus burger.”
James E. Muellenbach III, company CEO expressed his support when he said, "I want our customers to realize that Burger Planet is committed to offering healthy choices on its menu. The hiring of Jayne Petersen fits perfectly in the company's overall focus on healthy lifestyles."
Jayne Peterson and the restaurant’s long time mascot Corny the Clown will be teaming up to spread the word about the “Healthy Alternatives,” campaign. They will be appearing in various media events from May to July. Peterson shared her feelings about the opportunity when she said, "Burger Planet has been a leader in the Quick Service Restaurant industry in offering healthy menu choices. The company believes in encouraging customers to live healthier, active lifestyles and I have spent my life trying to teach women that lesson."

Good title and the dateline looks correct. Watch out for your use of the word "there" in paragraph #2. I think it should be "their," however you could probably just remove the word all together. I like your lead paragraph. It summed up the idea in a very concise manner. Also, when you introduce Mullenbach and say "company CEO" you need to add a comma after CEO. I liked how you remembered the boiler plate-and although it should be the last paragraph, I think your personal contact info still comes after it (and not in a sentance.)

Great lead paragraph, I thought you used Opal Whitcomb's name perfectly. The boiler plate should be before the contact information I think.
