JCOM 2310: Positioning Paper Draft

Burger Planet

Position Paper
Burger Planet recognizes the need to provide healthy food choices, while preserving the image of the established Burger Planet favorites.
Burger Planet has served 52 billion satisfied customers since 1934. When James E. Mullenbach founded the company he understood the key elements to a successful Quick Service Restaurant. Today the franchise has grown to over 8500 restaurants, and 48,272 employees, this was accomplished because of Burger Planet’s commitment to exceptional customer service. Part of that customer service is listening to the feedback we are getting from our customers. There is a need for healthier food choices in our restaurants, and we are prepared to give the customers what they want.
Recent focus groups portrayed the feelings of house mothers who have concerns regarding our Burger Planet long time favorites. Forty-five-year-old mother of four expresses her need for Burger Planet burgers:
"Burger Planet is my dirty little secret. My heart races when I think about the Saturn burger, layers of juicy beef topped with delicious onion rings. But I'd never tell my husband I eat there. My husband runs marathons. He used to scold my eating habits. And I'd never take my children there. I think that would almost amount to child abuse. I try to make sure they eat healthy. You know a cup of milk a day, plenty of veggies."
In an article found in Science Daily, the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) conducted a study that found:
Participants who consumed fast food two or more times a week gained approximately 10 more pounds and had twice as great increase in insulin resistance in the 15-year period than participants who consumed fast food less than once per week.
We want to give our customers the opportunity to make healthy choices at Burger Planet. Our loyal customers have established a strong foundation with our company. We want to build upon this relationship by continuing to provide our original classics as well as introducing healthier options.
We want to be the company of choice for health conscious mothers. Generally fast-food restaurants are associated with fats, oils and sugars, lacking in vitamins and minerals. This is why we have made the decision to expand into healthier foods.
Some of our healthy choices include:
Gourmet Salads
Fruit Packages
White Chicken Breast
Our company as a whole is united in our efforts toward pleasing our loyal customers, and gaining new clientele.
“Change the junk food image in collective consciousness of increasingly health minded consumers.”

PEOPLE ARE FINALLY LEARNING TO EARN THE MONEY THEY DESERVE WHILE WORKING IN THE JOBS THEY LOVE

Dear Charles McCollum,
I wanted to let you know Cache Valley Area Investors Association (CVAIA) is offering classes to the general public, teaching them how to invest their money with the right mentality, and skills. CVAIA teaches people to gain passive income, by educating them on the principles that allow investors to be successful. In the current economy financial alternatives to success are high in demand. This idea is so valuable for the general public, because they have the power to help turn the direction of the economy upward.

“If you have the money, right now is the best time to invest, the first step is to become educated,” Parker said.

If the American people can learn how to manage their money properly it will not only put money back into the system, but the ideas should move upward and empower the government to start digging their way out of debt.

“Never, ever, ever, rely on someone else’s word to invest, always listen to your gut,” said Parker.

CVAIA meets at the Cache County Chamber of Commerce, at 7 p.m. These meetings allow the members to network, and connect with financial advisors who know what they are talking about.
If people learn the right mentality and approaches to investing, they can all be successful in what they desire. People should be able to spend their time doing something they love, not just a job that provides an income. Passive Income largely makes this possible. Cache Valley Area Investors Association (CVAIA) teaches people how to increase passive income. CVAIA embraces the Law of attraction, Law of Abundance, and Law of Exchange. They practice the methods found in the ideologies of books including Rich Dad Poor Dad, the Wealthy Barber, The Millionaire Next Door, Atlas Shrugged, The Automatic Millionaire, and the Secret. CVAIA began in August 2007 and now has members from many geographical locations and from all walks of life. The members come together with the same belief: that education mitigates the risks of investing.

Papa Murphy’s International Inc. Opens Another store in Providence in Spite of downward Economy
www.papamurphys.com

Logan, Utah- The owners of the Logan Papa Murphy’s opened a second Papa Murphy’s location in Providence, three miles south of the Logan location.

While many businesses are laying off employees and closing down, the Papa Murphy’s owners are hiring and expanding. The sales in the Logan store were so high they were forced to open a second location to satisfy the demand, said owner Jeremy Claflin.

“In times like this people are looking for value, our food is fast, cheap and dependable,” said owner Scott Montgomery.

People can’t afford to go out and spend outrageous amounts of money on restaurant foods anymore. Papa Murphy’s allows them to get a fresh, filling pizza in the comfort of their own home. The Papa Murphy’s slogan is ‘Handmade in our kitchen, home baked in your oven.’ The owners of the Cache Valley locations do everything possible to fulfill this promise.

“The price is what gets them through the door, but our service and quality is what keeps them coming,” said owner Jeremy Claflin.

The Logan location is the number one selling store in Utah, and 24th out of 1,200 stores across the nation. Much of the time the Papa Murphy’s corporation suggests that two stores not be closer than five miles apart.

These two stores are definitely the exception. The Providence location was built in hopes of taking away 20 percent of the sales from the Logan location. The owner’s hoped for a 50 percent increase in sales from the two stores combined. The providence store has performed exactly as predicted.

Papa Murphy’s International Inc. Pioneered the take ‘n’ bake pizza concept. The company is now the fifth largest pizza chain in America. Today there are over 1,000 Papa Murphy’s stores in 31 states and Canada. The Cache Valley partnership, Fore Reel LLC, opened the Logan Papa Murphy’s in October of 1995, which was the same year the take ‘n’ bake pizza chains merged into Papa Murphy’s International Inc. Owner Jeremy Claflin plans to open the first Papa Murphy’s store in North Carolina, within the next ten years.
