Dear Mari,
The last time we spoke you asked “What is PR?” Well my dear cousin, I have researched an answer to your question. It is such a dynamic field of study, even the people that work with in the field don’t agree on the definition. The best definition I can think of is that PR is all about understanding the trends in the market, knowing how to predict the public reaction, and putting all this knowledge into action by using advertising, events, and other media to get an organization to really connect to their public.
The public relations field demands the Jack-of-all trades personality. I love it because no matter what aspect of the field I enter, I will always be working with something new. As you know my main interest is with writing, and event coordination.
Public Relations create an organized channel of communication between the public and the organization or individual.
One thing I want to note is that this profession should not be understood as the “creative liars.” This field is all about honesty, and strengthening the positive public opinion of an organization or person. I intend to always keep that an honest endeavor. Thank you for your question.

I think you did a great job explaining what public relations is. I agree with something you said: its dificult to explain the term and there are different definitions. I also liked the personal touch of the letter. It really look like you were writing it for your cousin.

Your did good on explaining PR to your cousin. I really liked how you said that it requires the personality of being the "Jack of all trades."
The only suggestion I would make would be to have a smoother transition from your second to third paragraph.
